Introduction

KT Recycling prides itself on customer service, and focuses on increasing our reliability and on trying to accept a wider variety of scrap metal – for a better price – than our competitors.

To improve our reliability, we only run with our own trucks and drivers – and have experience running all over Florida, as well as to Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee.  We are able to service such a broad area because we maintain our own fleet, and because so many local scrap yards are paying rates significantly below market averages.

Additionally, many of our customers call us first because they know that we will accept odd types of materials without them wasting additional time and resources on processing, and will always give them a fair market price.

Our bet is that we can match the freight cost of your local scrap yard, beat their price, and develop a better track record for reliability.  Give us a try!

Loading

KT Recycling expects all vendors to provide their own loading equipment and staff. At this time, KT Recycling can not provide rentals for any type of loading equipment.

Types of Truck Services

We can provide dump trailer, container, low boy, and flat bed services with our existing fleet.  However, we can make arrangements for other types of equipment for special-purpose projects as neccesary – give us a call!  Typically, we will quote prices for dump trailers and containers by event, and lowboy or flatbed prices by hour, as per the industry standard.

Maximum Dimensions

Although we make a strong effort to haul all shapes and sizes of materials, we still have to abide by DOT permit restrictions which limit our maximum weight and dimensions by load.  This is only an issue when using the lowboy or flatbed trailers.  We carry standard annual permits which define our normal limits, but if notified in advance of the exact dimensions and weight of an oversize or overweight load, we may be able to purchase a one-trip permit to accommodate the object.  Since this increases our incremental cost, we will generally pass this along to our partners.  Alternatively, you have the option of cutting off the excess size or weight with your own equipment to make the load street-legal (and depending on the size of the object, this may be the only feasible option).  If you need additional assistance in determining the best way to transport a load, please give us a call!
